@amitkumar earth has a magnetic pole (north pole and south pole) and an axis of rotation different from the magnetic poles (23 1/2degree) this difference causes earth to rotate on its axis. this is sane for all the planets so all the planets rotate on their axis.

  5. HEAT ZONES OF THE EARTH TORRID ZONES -Tropics From 23 degree North to 23 degree south Sun seasonally passes directly overhead at least once a year covers 39.78 % of earth's surface - TEMPERATE ZONES - North temperate zones and south temperate zones covers 29.99% of earth's surface Sun is never directly overhead and the angle of sun's rays go on decreasing towards the poles Mild climate 4 annual seasons -

  6. FRIGID SEASONS Lying between arctic circle and north pole in northern hemisphere and Antarctic circle and south pole in southern hemisphere Very cold Sun does not rise much above the horizon, slanting rays North frigid zones-4.12% South frigid zones-4.12 % of earth surface Midnight sun and polar night for part of a year Winter solstice Summer solstice

  10. LONGITUDE AND TIME Time measurement-movement of earth, moon and planets Earth rotates 360 degrees in 24 hour i.e. 1 degree in 4 min and in one hour it rotates 15 degrees. STANDARD TIME-differences in local times of different places will be a chaos-maintenance of uniformity. Standard meridian in India-longitude of 82 degree East Indian Standard Time. India is 5 hour 30min ahead of GMT 11 standard time-Russia . 24 time zones
