Sir, how is the potential at C infinite but at B finite ?

at point C, it's 0 (not infinite) and at B, it's Finite, to understand this, just watch the graph carefully. to calculate this, For point C, just put x=0 into the equation of potential, similarly for B point, just put x=x1 into equation of potential.
