Hello Sakshi.. From the formula u know.. CP = (100/100+gain% ) × SP Putting the values according to question we get.. (Let CP be x) x = (100/100+10) × 1265.....(1) (Retail price is SP = 1265, Let's start with gain% of one person, so I'm starting with 10%) So now.. according to (1) x = (100/110) × 1265 110x/100= 1265.....(2) So.. we get that if a person gains 10% on SP, the CP would become 100+10= 110% of CP.. (according to (2)) Since.. on one product only there is repetitive gains.. we get the equation.. 110x/100 × 115/100 × 125/100 = 1265 Solving this we get the answer.. Note: if there were two or three or many products it would have been 110x/100 × 115y/100..etc etc.. we have only 1 product therefore we are using only x here.. I hope your query is solved..
