Every place demarcated by a comma has its special name based on its place and magnitude.
For example, if the number 12,34,456 needs to be expressed using the Indian numeral system it would be read as twelve lakhs, thirty-four thousand, four hundred and thirty-six.
Similarly, the number 1 Lakh will be written as 1,00,000. Therefore according to the Indian Numbering System, the number has five ‘5’ zeros.
