Q. The gap between two neurons is called as?

(1) Dendrite

(2) Synapse

(3) Axon

(4) Impulse

Answer: (2) Synapse

The gap between two neurons is called a synapse. It is the juncture where the axon of one neuron forms a connection with another neuron. This connection is called a synaptic gap or synapse. Synapses are essential for neural communication and the transmission of impulses from one neuron to another. When a stimulus is introduced, it causes an electrical impulse to be generated in the presynaptic neuron’s axon, which leads to an impulse being generated in the dendrites of the postsynaptic neuron.

The impulse that has been generated in postsynaptic neurons is then transmitted back to its axon, where it will cause an electrical impulse to be generated again, which will then travel back down its axon and generate an electrical impulse in another set of dendrites.
