The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is an engineering entrance examination held in India to determine eligibility for admission to various engineering colleges. It is made up of two separate exams: the JEE-Main and the JEE-Advanced.
Based on a student’s rank in JEE-Main and JEE-Advanced, the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) conducts the joint admission process for a total of 23 Indian Institute of Technology campuses, 31 National Institute of Technology campuses, 25 Indian Institute of Information Technology campuses, and 26 other Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs).
The National Testing Agency administers the JEE-Main exam (NTA). Paper-I and Paper-II are the two papers in JEE-Main. Candidates may choose one or both options. Multiple choice questions appear on both papers. The first paper is for admission to B.E./B.Tech programs. Computer-Based Testing was used to conduct the test. Except for one paper, the ‘Drawing Test,’ which will be conducted in Pen and Paper mode or offline mode, Paper-II is for admission to B.Arch and B.Planning courses.
