Oleander Characteristics:

Traditional Medicine Uses:
- Ayurveda: Used for treating chronic and obstinate skin diseases, including leprosy.
- Bhavaprakasha: Describes it as poisonous but useful for treating infected wounds, skin diseases, microbes, parasites, and itching.

- Kerala has banned the use of Oleander flowers (Nerium Oleander) in temple offerings following the accidental death of a woman who chewed poisonous oleander leaves.
