U
In da 2nd questn, if the optns were 86 ,43, 129 and 172, how did u approximate from the figue dat it is 86?

Side of square will be slightly less than radius of outer semi-circle with is 22.2 (Diameter 44.5) so Area of squarewould be typically 300-500 units. Thus answers would be 70-100 types surely (0.86/4)* Square area You can never miss approximate answers when options are double of each other (deviation of 100%) that is

Let excess distance betwwwn radius and side be x Then side of square = D-2X i.e. 2(R-X) HOW CN U ASSUME 2(R-x) < R ?

How did u assume the lower limit of area to be 300 units? Even if i assume, 22.2 sqayre is near about 500 units How r u approximating da lower limit of area as 300? How are u assuming the least value of side?

Draw the figure free-hand you will get approx side of square value, wrt radius of outer semicircle, this figure is very simple to Draw, get approx side range, square It, approx area range :) Note: The question is also asking you to do that only, measure the side length and square it to get area. So your doing just that

But since your asking, diagonal of square is greater than radius, thus diagonal greater than 22, so side greater than 18 at least :) But don't do so much Even if you estimate 20% less or more you still get the answer, and nobody estimates 100% less or more

Ok sir..cudnt estimate da ratio of side wrt radius of outer bigger circle..so cudnt follow how u ended up with 18<side<22 So, i used my own approximation, which i found a lil easy to approach Continuing by ur approach, da diamter is 44.so radius is 22. This radius is forming a right tiangle wid a square of side 's' and 's/2' From here, i approached by Pythagoras theorem and arrived at da side as root 96, approx to 100 So side is 10 And answer was very very close to 86 (a prime multiple of 43)
