  5. TENURE OF LOKSABHA Duration of Loksabha is of Five years. But in exceptional cases Loksabha can be dissolved before 5 years and fresh elections can conducted after dissolving Tenure of the Loksabha may be extended by one year in case of National Emergency.But it is mandatory to held elections within six months after emergency is over.

  6. QUALIFICATION OF MEMBERS Conditions to be eligible for contesting an election - He/She must be a citizen of India. He/She must have completed 25 years if age. He/She must fulfill qualifications laid down by an Act of 2. 3. Parliament.

  7. DISQUALIFICATIONS If he/she hold any office of profit under Government of India and any State Government. If s/he is of unsound mind and is so declared by a competent Court. If s/he is an undischarged insolvent. If s/he is not a citizen of India or has voluntarily acquired citizenship of a foreign State. If s/he is so disqualified under any law made by Parliament.   8. METHOD OF ELECTION The method of election is direct. For this purpose, the territory of India is divided into suitable territorial constituencies Population is treated as the basis for allowing constituencies

  9. PRESIDING OFFICERS Speaker and Deputy Speaker are the presiding Officers of Loksabha Loksabha in it's first sitting choose two members as the Speaker and Deputy Speaker. This members hold the office during the life of people.

  10. TERMINATION OF LOKSABHA SPEAKER . If s/he ceases to be a member of Loksabha. S/he resigns from the post of speaker. A resolution can also be passed by majority of all the members of Loksabha.
