Overview Of The Lesson: Coding Decoding is an integral part of the Logical Reasoning section in many Government Exams. In exams such as IBPS, SBI, LIC, etc. Approx 5 - 7 questions are asked from this topic alone, thus making it an important one. Coding Decoding is a method of encrypting a message before transmitting it to someone, which no third person can understand without knowing the key
What is Coding?? It is a process in which a word or a number, or a series of combination of words and numbers is coded in a particular code or pattern based on various rules. You have to answer the questions based on these rules. What is Decoding?? It is the process of interpreting deciphering the coded pattern and changing it to its original form from the given codes. You have to understand the logic behind the coding pattern and then apply this logic to find answers.
TIPS: 1. Position of letters as per English Alphabet Series: (A-1, B-2, C-3, D-4.-25, Z-26). Shortcut for the position of letters i.e. EJOTY, where, E-5, J-10, 0-15, T=20 & Y=25) 2. Reverse Position of letters as per English Alphabet Series: (A-26, B-25, C-24 ., Z-1)
