  4. Agriculture Government undertook various initiatives to boost farmers' income. It ensured that the Minimum Support Price (MSP) is at least 50 percent percent of the produce and introduced pro-farmers policy.


  5. Rashtriya Gokul Mission Union Finance Minister Piyush Goyal has allotted 750 crore to the Rashtriya Gokul Mission (RGM) under revised estimates for the financial year 2018-19. In the Budget presented last year, the RGM, managed by the Department of Animal Health and Husbandry (DAHD), had been allocated 301.5 crore.


  6. Rashtriya Gokul Mission The RGM was launched in December 2014 on an outlay of 500 crore (2014-15 to 2016-2017) It announced to set up the Rashtriya Kamdhenu Aayog for production and ctivity of cows.

Department of Fisheries The government's proposals for the creation of a separate department for fisheries and a 2% interest subvention on loans to fish farmers will help boost shrimp production and exports, expects the seafood industry. India was the top producer of aquaculture shrimps in the world at more than 6 lakh tonnes last fiscal year, when exports of seafood, primarily shrimps, earned the country Rs 45,00o crore in foreign currency.

Agriculture Under the Kisan Credit Card scheme (KCC), 2 percent interest subversion will be given for farmers pursuing animal husbandry and an additional 3 percent interest subversion will be given for those who repay the loan in time. Farmers, affected by severe natural calamities, will be provided the benefit of interest subvention of 2 percent and prompt repayment incentive of 3 percent 0 or the entire period on timely repayment of their loans. 0

Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) The Government is launching the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) to provide an assured income support to the small and marginal farmers, Under this programme, vulnerable landholding farmer families, having cultivable land upto 2 hectares, will be provided direct income support at the rate of Rs. 6,o00 per year.
