one more thing conveying information in interesting way doesn't necessarily mean "corrupting" it. and if i were interested in funny videos on coursera i wouldn't have bothered to give a feedback. p.s. your description of course claims that course is "amalgamation of stories"

'if everyone is agreeing with you, you are in an echo chamber' - I wish you were a student of mine! People who ask questions and above all aspire for and inspire others towards perfection are ideal students. Okay so firstly, I am sorry for disappointing you and/or wasting your time. Secondly, my real-time students love this style of learning history (in retrospect they get 40 minutes per lecture) so I tried it with the online students as well. Thirdly, I typed 'amalgamation of the stories about considerably recent historical events' meaning news not storytelling (Sorry for the misleading title, will be careful next time around). Fourthly, don't just give up on any course after just one chapter. Fifthly and I can't stress this enough - if the cup of tea is full, no matter what quality of tea you pour inside the cup, it will spill ~ the metaphor being knowledge is the tea, we are the cups - always keep the cup half empty so that more tea can make its way inwards :) I genuinely didn't mean to offend you in any way, just like I know you weren't either. I am sorry for being snippy - I had a really bad day yesterday, maybe I projected a bit while replying. Happy learning and all the very best to you in all your future endeavours :) P.S.: I am serious, I wish you were my student, you'd help me improve for real. Thank you for leaving comments instead of just giving a low rating and a bad review ~ means the world to me.
too much factual information. doesn't sound like a story.

Well, it isn't a story now is it... Both of these events happened. The Wright brothers gave the world a basic model and the rest solidified the foundations... NASA, ISRO, Space X, etc - no matter what the conspiracy theorists claim, Man and Machine both went into space... That is no story, that is the monumental truth of it all so ya too much factual information...

by 'story' i definitely didn't mean a fictional tale. my point was that too much of factual information makes it little difficult to continue with video. to make it little more interesting you can adopt the way of story telling. that's it! I hope you will take it positively because that is what i intended. nothing more.

I did take it positively. Or else I wouldn't have replied :) Also, story means a fictional tale or a short account of news... Yes, I know the videos are bulky with information but I am pretty sure students will catch up to this format... I am a big fan of literature; corrupting history with literature or vice versa is not how I roll... Sorry about that! I am well aware of the major flaw of this course - too much information in 15 minutes... Want to see something really funny? See the video on the Middle East War-War of the Holy City (You can literally hear me freak out with the amount of information I have to share, haha)... Thank you for your apt observation - I am trying to work on it :) Hope you continue to follow the course though! Sorry if I sounded snippy in the previous reply - it has been one of those bad days where everything goes wrong

you still sound snippy. anyways if that is how feedback is taken and perceived i will not do that. enjoy making videos.
