Differential calculus basic, concepts of maximum and minimum of a function.Double differentiation is just rate of change of rate of change of a function. or we can say it is slope of slope. In simple word: Double differentiation is rate of change of slop. Geometrically: A second derivative is used to determine concavity. If you get a positive, it tells you that the graph 'opens up'.If you get a negative, it tells you that the graph 'opens down' If you get 0, it tells you that the graph doesn't open up or down it is a point of inflection, or it could just be a horizontal graph at that point.
