In this lesson we have discussed the concept of electric field lines their properties and field pattern due to isolated positive and negative charge electric dipole and identical charges.the lesson further discusses about the field due to dipole at axial position, equatorial position and at any general position in the vector space. The lesson finally concludes with an expression of torque experienced by dipole placed in uniform electric field.
