CYTOKINESIS is a process of division of cytoplasm after nuclear division (karyokinesis). In plants Cell Plate Method of cytokinesis occurs, while in animals Cell Furrow Method of cytokinesis occurs. In some cells, karyokinesis is not followed by cytokinesis - this condition is called as SYNCYTIUM.
