Article 24 the Indian Constitution prohibits the employment of children below the age of 14 years in any factory, mine or other hazardous activities like construction work or railway. The Child Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Amendment Act, 2016 prohibits employment of children below 14 years in all occupations and processes.   8. Answer-a The right to vote was available even during the time of the British, but was limited to only certain class of people. It was given for the first time under the 1919 Government of India Act, but only 0.6% of the population was allowed to vote. Of the many criteria, income was a major one. Universal Adult Suffrage is the right of the citizens in a given society, who are entitled to vote in an election to elect, at periodic intervals when these elections are called, a government to represent them. Usually, the only restriction applies to those people who are below a certain age.
