1.1. ENERGY Content of Lesson A- Calorific value B- Renewable vs. Non Renewable C- Conventional vs. Non conventional D- Various nature of Fuel Presented by: Dr. Ravi P. Agrahari (IIT Delhi) Follow me at: https://unacademy.in/user/Ravi
Caloric value vs. Calorific value Food Energy vs. Fuel Energy One gram food burn energy generate is caloric value of that food. One gram of fuel burn energy generate from that fuel is calorific value of that fuel.
Renewable Energy vs. Non Renewable Energy - Can use again and again - in-exhaustable No Pollution /Minimum pollution Example Solar Energy, Wind energy, Tidal Energy, Geothermal Energy, Biomass Energy, Hydroelectricity Non Renewable : Vice versa of Renewable 1, Diesel, Natural G
Conventional vs. Non conventional - In behaviour - easy to use - direct to use Non Renewable are generally conventional energy sources. Renewable are generally non-conventional energy sources.
Calorific value Coal kerosene, Diesel, Petrol LPG CNG Hydrogen
