please tell me how to answer inference question. i am facing very difficulty to answer inference question. do I always need to consider that which answer is not given in para directly, then I should ignore that??, if yes then what about the other types.
Hey I firstly hope that you have gone through my inference lesson in this course... Inference is like .. Understanding what someone wants to say but haven't in politics..some leader may criticise other without directly talking about them..n listeners Understand that what else he is trying to say... this is Inference in other words Inference is that conclusion which can be made out of all the fact, arguments, opinion presented to us in the passage if other statements are considered, you will find that they are simply what the passage already can call them mere arguments or sometimes summary (though not summary here) Inference is a conclusion..hence it's based on the arguments..and not arguments directly Hope its clear :) CAT 2018 Aspirants!! 1. Water Pollutiorn AISHWARYA MISHRA M.SC. IN ZOOLOGY (2017) MA IN EDUCATION (2017) B.Ed (2015)

  2. Pollutants Found in Runoff Sediment Soil particles transported fromLeaves their source Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD) . Oxygen depleting material Organic material Toxics Nutrients . Various types of materials that become dissolved and suspended in water (commonly found in fertilizer and plant material) . Pesticides > Herbicides Fungicides Insecticides - Metals (naturally occurring in soil, automotive emissions/ tires) Nitrogen (N) Phosphorus (P) Lead Zinc Bacterial Pathogens Originating from: Thermal Stress Mercury Petroleum Hydrocarbons (automotive exhaust and fuel/oil) e Pets e Waterfowl . Failing septic systems vegetation Heated runoff removal of streamside Debris Litter and illegal dumping

  3. Potential Sources of Pollutants Found in Reside ntial Areas Nutrients: Fertilizers and septic systems Pathogens: Pet waste and septic systems Sediment : Construction, road sand, soil erosiorn Toxic : Pesticides, household products Debris: Litter and illegal dumping Thermal: heated runoff, removal of streamside veqetation BUY

  4. Pollutants from Agriculture Sediment Nutrients Pathogens Pesticides

  5. Why are these pollutants important? Sediment reduces light penetration in stream, clogs gills of fish and aquatic invertebrates. Nutrients act as fertilizer for algae & aquatic plants which can cause highly varying dissolved oxygen levels. At low DO levels, the aquatic life has the potential to be harmed Toxics can impact life and contaminate drinking water supplies. Bacteria/Pathogens are an indicator of possible viruses present in the system.
