16 liter ... i used the mixture method .... Given that, A : B ( 4 : 1) , (2 : 3) ----- Liquid B is added so A is constant Then, ( 4:1) x 1 , ( 2: 3) x 2 = 4 : 1 , 4 : 6 ------>(6 - 1) 5 parts is 10 ... 1 part is 2, (4 + 1)5 part is 10 ... 10 + 10( liquid B added ) = 20 (mixture ) .... Asked Liquid A , i.e., 16 Liter ( 5 part is 20, 1 part is 4, So, 20 - 4 = 16 liter )

Hi RItu ... phela tho its the 2nd homework question ka solution..... 1st homework answer is : 6 litres .... Given that initial mixture 3 : 2 after adding liquid B it is 1 : 4 .... since Liquid A is Constant So, (3 : 2) x 1 , (1 : 4) x 3 ....( 3 : 2 ) ( 3 : 12) ..... (12 - 2) 10 units is 6 litre ...... 1 units is 3/5 .... So, initial liquid mixture is 10 lit ------> 3 ( 5 x (3/5) ) + 7 ( Mixture taken out) = 10 lit ... Initial Quantity of A in vessel is 10 x ( 3/5) = 6 lits ... Hope you understood ...... if any doubt feel free to ask... GOD BLESS...

or Maybe im wrong..As after taking out 10L mix,Remaining mix would become Zero which is not possible
A vessel is filled with liquid, 3 parts of which are water and 5 parts syrup. How much of the mixture must be drawn off and replaced with water so that the mixture may be half water and half syrup?
