I think there is an error in the very first answer. We're trying to maximize r^2*h and not r*h. Since r + h = constant, and we are trying to maximize r^2*h so, r/2=h/1 or r =2h. Since r + h = 12, r = 8, h = 4. Which gives pi*256 which is greater than pi*216 at which you arrived.
Sir I cover most of the mcq which are in current affair domain but not in static domain .. can you help me ????
6 , thanks to roman sir for wonderful mcqs
