Eligibility Criteria for OPTCL Recruitment through GATE 2022

Educational Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering with at least 60% aggregate marks from a recognized University / Institution or Passing Section-A&B of IE (India) in a relevant field with at least 50% aggregate marks
- The candidate must have taken and passed the GATE 2022 exam administered by IITKGP, with a score of at least 100.
- The candidate’s gate paper should be in EE.
Age Limit
On the date of application, you must be 21 years old but not older than 32 years old. Odisha government guidelines will make reservations, relaxations, and concessions.
Nationality
The applicant must be an Indian citizen. He or she must also be fluent in Odia reading, writing, and speaking.

Selection Process for OPTCL Recruitment Through GATE 2022
The selection process for OPTCL Recruitment via GATE 2022 will include marks acquired (out of 100) in the GATE 2022 Electrical Engineering discipline paper and a personal interview. Candidates will be shortlisted for a Personal Interview based on their GATE 2022 normalized score out of 100. Candidates selected for the Personal Interview will be contacted for Document Verification. The appointment offer will be made to the shortlisted candidates based on merit. However, the ultimate appointment of shortlisted candidates for OPTCL Recruitment 2022 would be subject to their medical fitness as per the Corporation’s mandated criteria.
OPTCL Recruitment Through GATE 2022: Salary Structure
- Individuals would be awarded a stipend of Rs. 50,000/- for the training duration. Selected applicants for OPTCL Recruitment through GATE 2022 will be paid according to the Pay Matrix: – Rs. 56,100-Rs. 1,77,500 (Level EE-2) with a starting basic pay of Rs.56,100/- after completing a one-year training period
- After completing the training, the applicants will be hired as Assistant Manager (Electrical) on the pay scale – Pay Matrix: -Rs. 56,100- Rs. 1,77,500/.
