The Municipal Corporation can be understood as the local yet urban government. In India, there can be other names also for the Municipal Corporations such as Nagar Palika, City Corporation, Mahanagar Palika, Nagar Nigam etcetera. Municipal governments can be described as authorities that are autonomous in nature. They are not a part of executive governments. Municipal governments are elected in a direct manner by the individuals so as to contribute to the promotion and their territory’s development. Thus, with this, some basic ideas regarding the municipal government can be there.
