The indigo rebellion is a revolt that was performed about the plantation of indigo plants as if they can be cultivated only once, after the plantation of them, the land cannot be used for further cultivation as it removes the soil fertility of the land. Against the English, the indigo growers banded together. They were all involved in the first battle of 1857 and played significant roles. Even though the fact that their revolution was brutally suppressed, they were successful in ending India and thereby writing a Gold Chapter in Indian history.
