Exam Pattern

Kerala PSC invites applications for the post of Clerk Typist which is a clerical job. The Clerk Typist is responsible for typing and printing texts, letters, and documents for their employer. They may also take dictation for the preparation of other documents such as reports or speeches.

The Clerk Typist is responsible to: 

* Prepare drafts of correspondence of a general nature (e.g. standard letters)

* Type material from stencils or mechanical reproduction process onto paper in accordance with layout instructions 

* Use office machines e.g. photocopier, fax machine or computer 

* Handle various types of office supplies such as paper, envelopes and labels 

* Perform duties relevant to the work of the employer in relation to correspondence such as enquiries- inquiries by telephone and post, preparation of replies 

* Verify accuracy of records maintained by the employer in relation to letters sent and letters received 

* Act as secretary to meetings of the employers board
