GATE Exam Date 2027: Complete Schedule, Application Dates, Admit Card and Result

The GATE Exam Date 2027 has been officially announced by IIT Madras. The GATE, which stands for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering, will take place on 6, 7, 13, 14, 20, and 21 February 2027. The GATE test will be computer‑Based.

IIT Madras is the organizing institute for GATE 2027. The GATE examination covers 30 test papers. It now includes a new Robotics and Automation (RA) paper. GATE 2027 Exam Schedule

The GATE 2027 examination will be held over three weekends in February.

GATE 2027 Application Form Date

The GATE 2027 application process started on 2 September 2026 using the GATE Online Application Processing System, known as GOAPS.

How to Fill the GATE 2027 Application Form

Follow these steps to apply:

GATE 2027 Admit Card Date

The GATE 2027 admit card release date has not yet been announced by IIT Madras. The GATE 2027 admit card will appear on the GOAPS portal once the application scrutiny and city‑allotment process are finished.

The city‑allotment notification is set for 4 January 2027. This notification may let candidates know their examination city but it must not be treated as the final GATE 2027 admit card.

GATE 2027 will be conducted as a three-hour computer-based examination. The official pattern includes:

• 1-mark MCQ: Deduction of 1/3 mark
• 2-mark MCQ: Deduction of 2/3 mark
• MSQ and NAT: No negative marking
