APICET is a competitive entrance examination for admission to MBA/MCA programs (full-time/part-time/evening/distance mode) at the following Andhra Pradesh-based universities and colleges. Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, will administer the APICET 2022 online.
The idea of APICET was conceived in 1989 and formally launched in 1992. The first exam was held in 1993 at Osmania University, with an intake capacity of 60 students per year. There are now 1000 seats per year (500 each for M.B.A. and M.C.A.). The test is conducted every year from March-April at various centres across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states by seven state universities, namely Sri Krishnadevaraya University (Krishnayapalem), Acharya Nagarjuna University (Anantapur), Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada, Kakatiya University Warangal, JNTU Hyderabad, JNTU Kakinada, and N.I.T. Raipur.

The application process for APICET is as follows:
1) APICET is a competitive entrance examination conducted by Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, on behalf of various universities in Andhra Pradesh for admission to full-time, part-time, evening, and distance mode M.B.A. programs offered by them.
2) Candidates who have completed a bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA are eligible to apply for this test.
3) The eligibility status should not change after the last date of submitting the online application form till the final declaration of the result
