How did the Incas keep track of numbers?

Ans : They used the quipu or cords upon which knots were made to indicate specific mathematical units to keep track of statistics. The system consisted of a main cord from which many pendant cords were attached. Each pendant cord contained clusters of knots. These knots and their clusters conveyed numerical information.
