What is a rural employment program?

Ans : The government of India, in 2005, has created the “anti-poverty” program for reducing the poverty in the states of India. However, the name of this program has then been changed to “Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme”. The main purpose of this program was to give employment to rural people for at least 100 working days in a “financial year”.
