Mountains and earthquakes are often associated together. Most of the Earth’s seismic zones are found along with the mountain ranges. Why is this so?

Ans : Mountains result from tectonic movement inside the Earth’s surface. When two tectonic plates collide, one plate rises over the other and leads to crust thickening and mountain formation. In the collision process, many vibrations and tension releases rise to the earthquake. That is why most of the mountain ranges are associated with earthquakes.
