Lesson 1 of 6 • 13 upvotes • 14:34mins
Vulva development in C. elegans is a unique mechanism where the cell signalling as well as induction of vulval precursor cells is initiated. These vulval precursor cells are governed by the presence, concentration and absence of lin-3 protein. The central vulval cells namely P6P has the let-23 receptor which binds with lin-3 protein and induces the formation of Primary Vulval Lineage.
