one statement is wrong in what you have said. It's correctly written as XVY. and not XUY . XVY. means concatenation of X and V and Y. the definition is trying to say that V is considered as a substring of Ohm only if we remove V from Ohm then two strings X and Y are left such that concatenation of X and V and Y gives us Ohm again. by the way thanks for your videos, they're very useful for quickly learning the basics of The theory of computation!!
