Contribution of the topic Total Questions from DI & LR section: 32; All questions were in sets form, wherein each set comprised 4 questions. 16 Questions (i.e., 4 sets) on LR Logical Reasoning (LR) 16 Questions (i.e., 4 sets) on DI Of the 4 sets on LR, 1 set i.e., 4 questions may be based on Puzzles. Hence, we can say 25% of LR may be cleared if we thoroughly prepare this topic. NOTE: This analysis is based on previous year papers.


  4. What are Reasoning Puzzles? . Reasoning puzzles are a favourite question type in all aptitude examinations. We have already studied a few kind of puzzles which are often asked (like arrangements, rankings etc., which constituted the other chapters). . All other categories of puzzles-which cannot be specifically categorised as any of the foregoing chapters-you will get to see and practice in this chapter. . As the name suggests, questions on puzzles challenge you to match multiple factors (like name, colour of shirt, place of living, car model driven, etc.).


  5. Key Skills Involved I. The ability to make a relevant tabular structure for using the clues seamlessly. Il. Understand the correct order of usage of the clues. Ill. Perceive information from indirect clues. IV.The ability to convert clues written in language form into visual clues so that you do not need to read the text again and again.


  6. EXAMPLE: Read the following information and choose the right alternative in the questions that follow. During the cultural week of an institute six competitions were conducted. The cultural week was inaugurated in the morning of 19th November, Wednesday and continued till 26th November. In the span of 8 days six competitions namely Dashing, Flank, Flash, Strong, Roze and Grand, were organized along with various other cultural programs. The information available from the institute is: i. Only one competition was held in a day. ii. Roze competition was not conducted on the closing day. ii. Flash was conducted on the day prior to Dashing competition. iv. Grand competition was conducted neither on Wednesday nor on Saturday. v.
