Thank you for the lesson. Kindly answer one query- As given in the text, during winter season the jet streams flow north of the Himalayas and get bifurcated into two when obstructed by the Tibetan plateau. However, the diagram at 6.27 in the video depicts the westerly flowing in the southern part of the country as well. Please clarify if these winds blow in the tropical regions also.

the jet stream after getting bifurcated never flow past the tropic of cancer...if you look at map in 6.45..you'll notice the branch of jet stream flowing to the south of himalayas is called sub tropical jet stream.. and we all know that what sub tropical region is...(btw figure at 6.27 is just for understanding..its not the accurate map)
