This collection helps us understand the concept of Metallurgy. It starts by showing us a basic flow chart of how element extraction is carried and there is also a discussion on important ore's found in nature. The next part of the collection throws light on the general techniques of concentration / benefaction of ores used industrially and the chemistry behind those techniques. The next part deals with the understanding of Gibbs energy and shows the Ellingham diagram and explains it in detail. The collection then throws light on the basic principles of Electrolysis and redox reaction involved in metallurgy. It also deals with the chemistry and process involved in the extraction of iron, inside view of the blast furnace and reactions to different parts of it. The final part of the collection deals with the chemistry and processes used for extraction of copper(self-reduction) and aluminium(electrolysis). It also deals with an explanation of all kinds of methods discussed in NCERT, their basis and examples of metals on which we can use it. This lesson will be beneficial for the students preparing for JEE Main, JEE Advanced, AIIMS, AIPMT, COMED, BITS, Engineering & Medical entrance exams, various School & Board Exams and also for 9th and 10th Class students who are intrigued by Science and preparing for competitive exams such as NTSE, Olympiads.
