This whole collection deals with the natural disasters caused by earthquakes and volcanoes. It begins with introduction, definition and distribution of volcanoes. It then deals with plate tectonics and plate boundaries like convergent, divergent and transformation of volcanoes. As the collection continues there is a  discussion of volcanoes and talks about its Classification (Cinder, Shield, Acid cone etc.) There is an overview of volcanic landforms such as extrusive and intrusive landforms and predicting volcanic eruptions etc. The next part deals with geysers, fumaroles, hot springs and volcano monitoring. The last part of the collection deals with various scales that are used to measure earthquakes, the type of waves such as seismic, body and surface waves. We then see the causes of earthquakes, continental plates, distribution and classification of earthquakes on the basis of causative factors, the basis of the depth of focus and basis of human casualties. All of the topics are explained with the help of illustrations, which make it easier to understand.
