This unit gives you the outline of the course, understanding the basics of Fluid Mechanics. This subject is very interesting and easy to understand. The subject is basically numerical based. You will find lot many numericals in GATE and Indian Engineering Services Examination from this subject. The course is common for both mechanical and civil engineering students. The course includes some of the important topics like mechanical properties of fluids like dynamic viscosity, kinematic viscosity, numericals based on viscosity, compressibility, surface tension, capillary, numericals on surface tension, different kinds of pressure, different kinds of manometers, numericals on manometers and the last lesson is on objective questions on these topics.
