I have made the Payment but it has not converted to EMI. What should I do?

If you opted for EMI and the entire amount has been debited, do not worry!

This is a procedure followed by banks where they debit the entire amount at once and convert it into an effective EMI within 4-7 business days. After this is processed by your bank, the entire amount will be credited to your account (Only in case of Debit card transaction).
The total amount will be blocked incase the payment is made via. Credit card, following which you will only need to pay the monthly installment you opted for.

After this, your monthly debit card statement will reflect the EMI amount with the interest added.

Please note: The bank may levy extra charges pertaining to GST or other taxes on the interest.

Here’s an example:

1. After opting for an EMI Payment on 21/11/2017, the entire amount of Rs 53,900 is debited.

2. As you can see, on 23/11/2017, the entire amount is credited back (Only in case of Debit card transaction) into the account after the bank converted it to an EMI with the interest rates starting on 12/12/ 2017.

Please note: Processing fee for EMI methods might be charged by the Banks.
