The CBSE Class 9 Science (including Biology, Physics and Chemistry) syllabus is divided into five units: Our Environment, Organisation in the Living World, Food; Food Production, Matter – Its Nature and Behaviour, and Motion, Force and Work.

Question Paper Pattern

• The paper will be of 80 marks
• The question paper will be categorised into three parts– A, B and C with a weightage of 20, 30 and 30 marks, respectively. There will be 36 questions in total
• Section A will have 20 objective type questions of 1 mark each
• Section B will consist of 10 questions of 3 marks each that come under the Summative Assessment
• Section C has six questions of 5 marks each

• In Section C, there will be 2 short answer type questions of 2 marks each. There will also be 5 short answer type questions of 2 marks each. Lastly, you need to answer 2 long answer type questions, each carrying 8 marks
