In this video I have given an introduction to the course, as to what things will be discussed. The definitions pertaining to zener diode, mechanism of zener and avalanche breakdown, v-i characteristics of zener diode, techniques to solve problems and previous years problems will be discussed in this course.

Introduction to the Course

This is just a formal introduction to zener diode with the related definitions and the v-i characteristics. This does not involve in-depth concepts except for the mechanisms of breakdown between the zener breakdown and the Avalanche breakdown.

Lecture 1 : Introduction to Zener Diode

Un this lecture, we look at the techniques to solve zener diode and see how zener diode acts as a voltage regulator. This lecture is important with a competitive point of view.

Lecture 2: Techniques to Solve Problems

In this lesson, we solve a problem of zener diode which previously appeared in GATE, and we use all the techniques we have learnt in the previous lesson to solve this sum.
