Relation between the Elastic Moduli

The work done by external applied force during stretching or twisting is stored as potential energy in the wire,And about the Oscillation are called torsional oscillation and the arrangement is known as a torsional pendulum.

Rigidity modulus by torsion pendulum ( Dynamic torsion method) using this relation,G is determined, And the moment of inertia of the disc about the axis of the wire is calculated.
