This lesson explains the theory of Social Action which Max Weber gave tremendous prominence and importance. He was of the view that to understand Sociology and Society one has to understand what is Social Action, its scope, and the effects of action on the Society.

This lesson explains the theory of Bureaucracy, it's emergence and the positive and the negative aspects of Bureaucracy. Weber was of the view that to understand the nature and dynamics of modern Society one has to understand the process of Bureaucratisation.
