The lesson starts with a simple definition of democracy and explains that in a democracy , major decisions are taken by elected leaders through the example of Pakistan.

Meaning of Democracy

This lesson explains the two features of democracy i. e. , free and fair elections and the principle of one vote, one person, one value through various examples from the world.

The lesson explains that the rule of law and respect for rights is the fourth feature of democracy through the story of Zimbabwe. The lesson provides a comparative study of the Story of Zimbabwe and Emergency in India.
