This course on Class 6th History NCERT will explain in detail all intricate facts and concepts that are necessary to clear the exam with a score above average. This course begins with an overview lesson which states the objective of the course, what it aims to provide, the target audience and the list of concepts that will be covered in the lessons that follow. The first lesson explains in detail what, where, how and when different civilizations existed, how did they sustain themselves, the story of how India gained its name, the sources through which we know today about those civilizations, the information they impart to us about the people of that time, then it proceeds to the trails of the earliest people where we learn why people moved from one place to another, what kind of tools they used, various Paleolithic, Neolithic and Megalithic sites, factory sites and factory-cum-habitation sites, the process of making stone tools, the timeline of various historic ages. In the following lesson, we move from gathering to growing food, in which we learn about the domestication of plants and animals, what features were preferred while selecting a species for breeding, what kind of clothes were worn, how a tribe worked, etc. Also, the site of Mehrgarh and Daojali Hading are thoroughly discussed with what information has been obtained from these important places.  The third lesson continues to the Earliest cities of Harappa, Mohenjo Daro, Kalibangana and Dholavira. We will also learn what Kind of houses and cities,  pottery, animals, stones, draining system, water tanks, religious practices, trade system, were found in these civilizations. Then we will discuss the reason why these cities ended. In the lesson that follows, you will learn what books and burials teach us including religious books like Vedas. We will then move to Varna system, Janapadas, Mahajanapadas, the tax system, and we will discuss two important Mahajanapadas in detail - Magadha and Vajji. In the lesson New Questions and Ideas, we discuss Upanishads, Buddhism, Jainism, Sangha, System of Ashrams and Zoroastrianism. In this course, we will also learn about the Great Ashoka and his Dhamma. We then move on to Vital Villages and Thriving Towns, the tools that were used, the social life, and Sangam literature. Then we will learn about Mathura, its importance from trade and religious perspective. Then we will continue our learning with the lesson on Traders, Kings and Pilgrims where we mainly discuss the trade in South India of Cholas, Cheras, Pandyas, Satvahanas, Kushanas, Silk Route, Chinese Buddhist Pilgrims and the Bhakti Clan. In the next lesson we learn about Samudragupta, his victories, courtiers; Harshavardhana and his kingdom, Pulakeshin II, administration, army, assemblies, literature, building, paintings, books, stupas, Hindu temples, Tamil epics, Puranas - Mahabharata and Ramayana.
