Introduction to Stress Part 1

This chapter is in continuation to previous chapter and explains about stress developed at a point in a 3 dimensional body

General State of Stress Part 2

This chapter introduces you about strain and relation between stress and strain for two different types of materials (brittle & ductile).
Clearly explains stress-strain curve for ductile materials.

Stress and Strain- Axial Loading Part 1

This chapter explains you the Stress strain curve for brittle material (concrete ) and also gives you the idea about dilation,bulk modulus, Poisson ratio.It clarifies the difference between real & engineering stress strain curve and introduces you to the shear strain.

Stress and Strain Part 2

This chapter gives you a brief idea about torsion i.e., twisting couple.Here we derive few formulae for shear stress and angle of twist.
