Light is a form of energy. The natural source of light is the Sun.  Light has some characteristics like- rectilinear propagation, reflection, refraction etc.

Sun and stars are the natural sources of light. 
CFL,Fluorescent light, oil lamp, kerosene lamp etc are artificial or manmade sources of light.

There are two types of reflections namely regular reflection and irregular reflection. 
Reflection from straight, smooth, shiny surface like a plane mirror obeys two laws of reflection. 
Virtual, erect images are formed in plane mirrors.

Spherical mirrors are  a part of a sphere. 
The depressed part acts as a concave surface and bulged part acts as a convex surface. 
Images we get in these two mirrors are different and hence their uses are also different.

Refraction is bending of a light ray when it travels from one medium to another. 
When a ray of light travels from rarer medium to denser medium it bends towards the normal and vice versa.

Lens is a piece of transparent material which has at least one curved surface. Lenses commonly used have two smooth ,curved surfaces. 
There are two types of lenses- concave and convex lens. 
Concave lens is a diverging lens and convex lens is a converging lens.
