Overview and Preparation Strategy

This lesson tells the viewer how to maintain an optimum potition in the proceedings of a group discussion by listing several do's and don'ts during a group discussion. We aim to achieve an balance between being too aggressive or too mild. Maintaining this optimum personality of an avid participant who is interested in listening to other people's views as well will help one ace the group discussion process.

Crucial DO's and DONT's in a GD

This lesson is a basic overview of what to expect in a GD and how it is evaluated. This helps the candidate understand the dynamics behind the scoring process and gives them an idea on how to approach the GD. Further, it breaks the misconception that all GDs are evaluated similarly and stresses more on the factors that different companies might be looking for. It concludes with the fact that the biggest focus in the discussion is the ability to influence and adapt to the group dynamics while stressing on the needs of that particular house.

This lesson is a preparation guide for those who are planning to sit for a group discussion. It lists a 4 step method to improving one's knowlege base and discussion skills. How to approach a GD

In this lesson we discuss the possible roles to be played by tge candidates in group discussion and which one's to aspire for. We also discuss how to assume these roles and fulfill their responsibilities. One must keep ib mind that these roles are not exclusive, that is, one person can play several roles and the same role can be played by different people. We conclude that practicing for these roles is tge best way to go about achieving them.

The discussion summarises the common body language aspects that might come in handy while preparing for a group discussion. Though examples of how to behave and how not to behave, this lesson aims to teach GD aspirants the ideal way to attempt  a group discussion.
