Many state animals are not known to us. In this lesson we will talk about state animals of some states and their brief description and range.

It is a detailed topic and therefore divided into 3 parts. This is the first part of the whole.

This is the concluding part of the series on state animals and their range. With this, the state animals of all the states and UTs and their range are described.

Just like state animals, state birds too need some description in our curriculum.

The state birds and their brief description and range is again a large topic and therefore it is divided into 3 lesson. This one is the first part.

The highlight of the lesson is the Great Indian Bustard (GIB), the state bird of Rajasthan, which is Critically Endangered and fewer than 100 survive now on the entire planet.

Second important species is the 'Vulnerable' Sarus crane, the state bird of UP.

In this lesson we shall discuss the various state trees and their characteristics.

For studying environment and ecology in considerable depth and to have better understanding of the subject, the knowledge of flora and fauna is very necessary, which is usually skipped while teaching.
