Please note a correction that needs to be made for the formula for reduction factor for large grip length (beta lg). It will be 8d/(3d+lg). The denominator is 3d+lg.

Also, in the formula for reduction factor for long joints (beta lj), the reduction factor formula is used when the length of the joint (lj) is greater than 15d (and not 1.5d)
