Under this course, how Panchayati Raj Institutions evolved and what is the importance of these institutions and how it resulted in the constitutional amendment has been described. Then It discusses the salient features of the Panchayats and it further goes on to discuss the mandatory & voluntary provisions in the constitution for the Panchayats and what are the exceptions to this act and then it further discuss PESA act, 1996 in detail. This course further discuss the salient features of municipalities and various type of urban government in detail. Then in the end, it discuss how the cooperative societies got constitutionalised and what were the reasons for the 97th constitutional amendment act, 2011. It also discuss what were the reasons of the failure of cooperatives at that time.
