This lesson "Historical Background (part-1)" was presented by Suman Sudha. This is the 1st part of the lesson. The lesson has four parts. This lesson describes the Regulating Act of 1773 and the Pitt's India Act of 1784 under the Company Rule.The scenarios before the Company Rule,reasons behind the interference of British Government,Situations before the Company rule are also discussed in this lesson. The features of various Acts and their Significance have been discussed. The target audience of this lesson will be UPSC CSE aspirants and State PSC aspirants. But other Government service aspirants can also get benefitted from this lesson.

Historical Background for UPSC and State PSC Aspirants: Part 1

In the first part of the lesson "Historical Background" Suman discussed about the Regulating Act of 1773 and The Pitts's India Act of 1784.In this 2nd part of the lesson she discussed about the Charter Act of 1833 and Charter Act of 1853 .Then The Government Of india Act of 1858 under The Crown rule was also discussed.
